Our thoughts: the perfect all round shin guard for most people. This is the best standard / all round shin guard on the market. They provide great protection and have a relatively flexible shell so is comfortable for everyone to use. They will expand for a broader calf and pull in with the straps for a thinner calf.
These have been worn by players at the highest level of the game so provide fantastic protection. However, if you are looking for the absolute maximum level of protection available then consider either the TK1 (straps) or TK2 (no straps) shin guards.

All moulds are designed to contract or expand depending on the size of your leg.
The BOP International is generally better if you have a slightly broader calf. This is a more generalized mould and expands easily to the shape of your leg. The straps are connected on this model.
The BOP shinbone is generally better for a narrower calf. This design is reinforced at the front of the shin-guard for extra protection from a direct face on hit. The Velcro straps are removable on this model.
